Name:
Jonas Chesed
Occupation:
Age:
Twenty-eight
Allies/Axis/Neutral:
Allies I guess you could say...he supports them of course.
Physical Description:
Jonas is a tall, young man. He stands about six foot with a lean build, having a well defined muscular body, though not hugely built. His hair is dark with slight waves, which are more apparant if grown out some. His eyes are a deep brown that used to hold a sparkle to them, though now there's barely a glint. They have only a deep sadness to them, a tiredness that doesn't seem to disappear.
His face is starting to show laugh lines at the corner of his eyes, though are only obvious when he smiles. When times were better his smile and handsome features made girls swoon, though like the sparkle, his smile is rarely present, replaced by what seems to be a permanent frown.
Personality:
Jonas is a rather solemn man at this time, having his whole family gone from him now, he doesn't really know what he'll do with himself if they're lost forever. His face his creased with a frown, a slight coldness to his eyes. He isn't quick to laugh or make light of things. He's turned into a serious person that keeps most of his own personal thoughts and feelings to himself and they don't often show on his face to give any clue to what is going on in his head.
He was once rather joyous, quick to make jokes and tease his younger sisters, who he loved dearly. His family was the light of his life, bringing a quick, easy smile to his face, that certain spark to his eyes. He enjoyed going out with his friends from university, flirting with girls when they went out. He was affectionate and caring, enjoying all the simple things life had to offer him.
History:
Jonas grew up in Germany with his family. His father worked as a doctor, helping the family stay in a large house with enough room to fit more than their family of five. He didn't grow up knowing much of a rough life, going to school up to university where he studied to also become a doctor like his father and also learned to fluently speak English and French, though each have a rather thick German accent to them. He was unable to finish this education as the Nazis came into power in Germany.
After their rise, his father could no longer practice at the hospital, so he took to visiting the homes of some of his more loyal patients. On an emergency call, his father left and they never saw him again. Jonas went to search for him, only to find he never arrived to his destination. He's still unsure of what happened to his father, whether he was murdered or taken to a concentration camp, as around that time people had started to be round up and taken away.
Jonas took over caring for his family, getting a job that didn't pay too well but it was enough to keep them going. They had to sell many of their things though.
It was a sunny day when Jonas had gone off to work for the day, his mother and two sisters staying home as they usually did. That day he returned to find most of the houses, the Jewish ones, broken into, ransacked and the families carried off. He found his siblings and mother to be gone, rooms a mess with furniture thrown about and broken, drawers opened, valuables removed.
He knew then he needed to get out. He stays with people who don't like what is going on, people that help the Jewish escape. He hopes to make his way as quickly as possible out of Nazi occupied lands. He hopes he'll be reunited with his family again, though he can do nothing for them now.
