Jenna gently placed her tea cup down on the saucer. Sitting back in her hair he let out a very content sigh. "that was the best banana bread that i have sated...ever" she said with a smile.
Jenna raised an eyebrow He has siblings, thats so sweet she thought. clasping her hands together on her lap. That idea made Jenna think now i have a little idea about how well of a father he is going to be. the thought exited her mind as quickly has it had come in.

"Where's Luke?" he asked, taking a bite of banana bread.
"Luke had to go into the office today, some kind of meeting." she said.
"I wonder what's going on in the navy." he said, then he thought, "Although monthly meetings are coming up for the army, maybe that's it."
"Whatever the meeting, Annabelle had to stay home with Lainie." she looked up at him at a smile, "She said you hadn't come to visit her in a week or so, I can see why now. she said winking at Jenna.
Christian smiled at Jenna.

Jenna blushed a crimson red. she brought up her hand to her face to try and hide the blush, she then began to play with her hair. Jenna felt bad slightly because of her Christian hasn't bent a lot of time with his family. She wouldn't have stopped him if he wanted, Jenna was a family person her self, though her family unapproved of her becoming a doctor. They thought she should have stayed home and become a housewife or go to one of the factories near her home, but Jenna had her calling.
Smiling she stroked his hand that was still in hers.

"So, what do you do, Jenna?" Mrs. Broderick asked, it wasn't impolite, she was merely making smalltalk. Christian resisted the urge to answer for Jenna, she was her own person, she could make her own answers.

Jenna smiled "I'm a doctor" she said very proud of her profession . Sitting up a little straighter than she had been, Jenna kept talking. " there are only two doctors my self and a close friend of mine Dr. Joan L. Wellington " she said smiling. People were always impressed at how a woman could be capable of such things, but yet again she proved them wrong.
Jenna shifted her feet so the back of her keel wasn't digging into the leg of the chair. Jenna looked to Christian and winked.

"Oh, that's wonderful!" she said, turning to her husband. "Frank, wasn't I just telling you the other day," she began.
"Yes, Helen, ya were telling me that girls should be doctors. Something about better hands."
"Yes, that's right. A man's hands are so clunky, while a woman's are soft and delicate. Not to mention," she said, "A man's likelier to get more grabby." she said nodding at Jenna.
"Ma!" Christian said. She just waved him off and Christian rolled his eyes at her when she wasn't looking.

Jenna giggled and looked a way for a moment. his mother is flattering she thought . taking another bite of the banana bread Jenna smiled. "this is really good" she said through moments of chewing. "I don't think that i have tasted better" she said finishing off the last bite of her piece before she grabbed another one. Jenna couldn't help her self from taking another one. it was just so good, but she didn't want to come off as a pig.

"Oh, I have six more loaves in the kitchen. You must take some with you." she replied.
"So, Miss MacEcherin, do you have any siblings?" Mr. Broderick asked.
